Abstract

This study aims at assessing how the current state of Bitcoin in terms of its security protocol, volatility, deflationary behaviour, and unstandardized regulations influence the future adoption of Bitcoin. This research uses two sample group, Bitcoin Public sample and focused target group. The data groups are evaluated through reliability test, correlation, and linear regression analysis following to assessment of the four linear-model assumptions. The main findings exhibit a considerable gap between the opinions of Bitcoin Public and Bitcoin Experts sample groups. The prime study inference explicates on the speculative tendencies of the respondents from the Bitcoin Public sample, who are hopeful regarding the promising future adoption of Bitcoin. On the other hand, the Bitcoin Experts sample elaborates on the risk-averse behaviour of the respondents, who are explained to be more sceptical regarding the future adoption of Bitcoin given the alarming inefficiencies of Bitcoin.
