Improving Lecturer Discipline through Compensation and Organizational Commitment (Study at Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and organizational commitment on the work discipline of lecturers both partially and simultaneously at Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang. This research was conducted at the Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang. The population in this study were all lecturers at the University of Indonesia Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang. The sample in this study were 58 people with porposional techniques. Quantitative analysis method using path analysis (Path Analysis), followed by determination analysis (R Square), partial hypothesis testing (t test) and simultaneous (F test) with alpha 5 percent (0.05). Before further analysis, the classical assumption test is performed. Analysis tools using SPSS version 21.0 for Windows. The results showed that the management information system and communication had a positive and significant effect on the work discipline of the lecturers at Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang.
