Abstract

Electrified railway has prominent and serious harmonic and reactive power problems,
which lead to the increase of electrical loss and reduce the output power of electrical
equipment, which seriously interferes with the normal operation of electrical
equipment and even leads to the damage of electrical equipment. Therefore, the
research on reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression of electrified
railway has important practical value. Based on this, this paper first analyses the
application status of harmonics restraining and reactive compensating technology in
electrified railway, then studies the design method of harmonics restraining and
reactive compensating in electrified railway, and finally gives the simulation strategy
of harmonic control and reactive power compensation of electrified railway.
